Where to Shop for Wedding Guest Dresses

Wedding Guest Style Guide and Ideas

Dresses, shoes, & evening bags you’ll love

I don’t know about you, but I love attending weddings! Having an excuse to get dressed up every once in a while is just a nice way to remind us that we still got it. The hunt for the perfect dress, the romance of it all, the aesthetics, and of course, the dancing, are all so fun. But sometimes finding a cute dress that suits the attire, doesn’t cost a fortune, and fits well can be overwhelming.

So I put together a list of the best places to shop for wedding guest dresses, accessories, and shoes plus some new styles I’m loving at the moment. I recommend checking out the venue before shopping so you can get an idea of the vibe. Whether you’re attending a cocktail beach wedding or a formal fall wedding, I hope you see something you love!

P.S. I curated my fav wedding guest options from Revolve in one place: Shop Here

Dresses I’ve worn previously

The only dress that is still available is one of my favorites, this buttery yellow satin dress from Showpo for only $70.

I do like to shop local so other places I’ve bought my dresses from are from Jacksonville boutiques. However you can browse the Designers and Brands these boutiques carry on sites like Revolve and Nordstrom.

Cocktail & Semi-Formal

Cocktail is slightly dressier than semi-formal but they tend to be used interchangeably. Think elevated sundresses and elegant midi dresses to mix casual and fancy.

Formal & Black-Tie

Formal is not quite as fancy as Black-tie but they both typically suggest floor length gowns. Go all out in fabrics like silk, organza, and chiffon.

Wedding Guest Shoes

I tend to go for comfort and simplicity when it comes to heels, because truthfully, I can’t hang. Lol in order for me to not end up shoe-less by the end of the night, block heels and low height are my requirements.

Clutches

I think every girl needs about 2-3 glitzy clutches in their arsenal to whip out for special occasions. A gold, black, and silver/pearl clutch would be versatile enough for most outfits.
